The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has arrested a 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, for allegedly selling illicit drugs in Ilisan, Ogun State.

The agency said Ogunmabo was found with 90 grammes of cannabis, which she allegedly sold in sachets.

NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi, said the woman claimed she turned to drug sales after her provisions shop was destroyed by fire.

The NDLEA Chairman, Buba Marwa, directed that the centenarian be granted bail and placed on counselling because of her age, while her daughter, who allegedly supplied the drugs, was arrested.
