Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has criticised the Federal Government over recent attacks in Benue, Plateau and Niger states, saying Nigerians cannot continue to lose their lives while communities remain vulnerable.
Obi, in a statement today, cited the killing of at least 23 people in Jwak Maitumbi, Plateau State, and reported attacks in Niger State that allegedly left over 40 people dead and more than 100 abducted.
He called for stronger intelligence gathering, faster security response and the rescue of abducted citizens, urging authorities to arrest and prosecute those responsible.
Obi said government must act urgently to protect lives and property.
