The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to disclose and publish political contribution limits under the Electoral Act 2026, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a statement by its Deputy Director, Kolawole Oluwadare, SERAP asked INEC to state whether it has prescribed limits and to explain how it will monitor political donations and campaign spending.

The organisation said greater transparency in political financing would promote a level playing field and enable Nigerians to make free and informed choices during the 2027 elections.
