The Ministry of Defence has welcomed President Bola Tinubu’s appointment of Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, as Deputy Director, Security and Intelligence, One of the APC 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.

The ministry said Matawalle’s experience in public service, security management and political mobilisation informed the appointment.

Matawalle, who will oversee campaign security, intelligence assessment and coordination with security agencies and community stakeholders, thanked President Tinubu and the APC leadership for the confidence, pledging to use his experience to support a peaceful and successful campaign for the Renewed Hope administration.
