The Edo State Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Digital Media, Apostle Kassy Chukwu, says singer Davido should not expect to perform in the state for the remainder of Governor Monday Okpebholo’s tenure.

Chukwu made the declaration amid the ongoing dispute between Davido and the governor, following the singer’s refusal to apologize for remarks made after Okpebholo criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Davido’s uncle, during the recent governorship election campaign.

The governor’s aide accused Davido of disrespecting Okpebholo and his family, adding that some Edo youths were angry over his comments.

Davido had earlier shared what appeared to be the governor’s WAEC result on social media and later maintained that he had no reason to apologise.
