The United States says it struck 90 targets across Iran in a second night of military operations, while Iranian media reported explosions along the country’s southern coast and on Iranian-controlled islands in the Gulf.

Iran said it has retaliated by targeting United States military bases in Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Meanwhile, Iranian official Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf accused Washington of breaking its promises, while Donald Trump said Iran wants a deal but questioned its credibility.

The latest escalation follows earlier US strikes launched in response to attacks on commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, raising fears of a wider regional conflict.
