The Northern States Governors’ Forum has inaugurated the Board of Trustees of the Northern Nigeria Security Trust Fund to strengthen regional efforts in tackling insecurity.

Retired Martin Luther Agwai and Mahmud Yayale Ahmed were appointed co-chairmen of the board during the meeting held at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in Kaduna.

The board also includes retired military officers, former security chiefs and senior public servants from the 19 northern states to support coordinated security initiatives across the region.
