The Federal Government has launched the nationwide rollout of integrated rehabilitation services across Primary Health Care centres to improve access to physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, audiology and other rehabilitation services for Nigerians.
Speaking at the launch in Bauchi State, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Professor Ali Pate, said the initiative will bring essential rehabilitation services closer to communities, particularly for persons with disabilities, older people, trauma survivors and patients with chronic illnesses, as part of efforts to strengthen primary healthcare and achieve Universal Health Coverage.
