The Ogun State Government has reinforced security around schools to ensure the safety of students and maintain a peaceful learning environment.

Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, assured parents there is no cause for panic over reported security threats, urging them to avoid actions that could disrupt academic activities.

The government said the temporary closure of some schools in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area followed unverified reports of banditry and kidnapping, adding that additional security personnel have been deployed across the state’s 20 local government areas, with increased patrols and collaboration among security agencies
