President Bola Tinubu has directed the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to investigate the activities of a group operating as the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, describing it as a fictitious body with no government approval.
The President ordered the anti-graft agency to conclude its investigation within 30 days, following allegations that an individual falsely presented himself as the council’s Director-General and claimed to be a presidential appointee.
Tinubu also directed the ICPC to investigate all collaborators, identify loopholes exploited in the alleged scheme, and ensure anyone found culpable faces the full weight of the law.
